Cecilie Nyman, artist
Cecilie Nyman (b.1970) lives and works in Svendborg on the island of Funen. She has received formal tuition on the Funen school of drawing and painting. In her still lifes and portraits, Cecilie Nyman is preoccupied with capturing the quiet moments and the interior landscapes. She is influenced by the Danish modernist painters Harald Giersing and Edvard Weie. In addition to the painting, Cecilie Nyman works with the portrait. In 2018, she participated in the TV show "Denmark's best portrait painter" and in 2021 her portrait Mr Nyman was accepted at the sensored exhibition "Portrait Now" at the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle.
